Jacksonville Zoo with Gramma and Grandpa

While we were in Florida, we took a day and drove to the Jacksonville Zoo. There was a dinosaur exhibit that my parents wanted Jack to see since he's been really into dinosaurs lately. We all got up, got ready, and were in the car before 9AM.

It ended up being the PERFECT day to be outside at the zoo. The weather was so unbelievably wonderful. Such a nice change from the Indiana snow.

There were these giant birds that almost attacked us. So I grabbed the kids and ran. Birds are kind of freaky...

Then we went into the dinosaur exhibit. I thought it was really cool. They had these huge dinos that moved and made noises. Jack was a little skeptical and was afraid to turn his back to them. So it was really difficult to get a picture of Jack with the dinosaurs...

Then Jill and Cole drove up to meet us. It was so much fun to see them and spend the afternoon with them. It was even more fun to watch Jack and Cole play together.

We saw a bunch of cool animals and Jack loved being at the zoo, but he got tired and hungry, so we started to make our way back to the car. But then he remembered that we were at a zoo and he wanted to see a zebra... and by zebra he means giraffe.

So, we found the giraffes and Gramma and Grandpa paid for him to get a chance to feed a "zebra" and Jack thought that it was the coolest thing ever.

When we were leaving, we saw a snake right outside on the pavement and some crazy guy was trying to move it with his feet and he kept calling it "sweetie". It was pretty weird.

Anyway, we had an amazing time at the zoo. It was a neat experience to show all of those exotic animals to Jack and to give him an opportunity to play with Cole.
