This has been a HUGE month for Charlie! This month, he FINALLY decided to crawl forwards. So proud. Once he decided he wanted to crawl, he's been non-stop ever since. Only a few days after crawling he started pulling himself up on furniture. He's had a bruised head ever since. I seriously hope people out in public don't think we are abusive parents because he ALWAYS has a bruised noggin. So, so sad.
Charlie is to the point now, where he thinks he's over baby food, only problem is that he still has no teeth. Charlie loves to self feed with finger foods and he's really good at it too.
Probably his favorite food right now are these little puff things. They are sort of like the puffy cheetos, but smaller and they come in lots of flavors. Charlie's favorite is the cinnamon maple flavor. He gets so excited when he sees that yellow can... he just kicks and squeals and grunts.
Charlie is really, really ticklish.
Charlie still takes two naps a day. His longer nap is in the morning, which is odd because usually the morning nap gets shorter and shorter until it disappears. I guess Charlie is doing things the unconventional way.
He HATES formula. Hates it. Can't say that I blame him. That stuff tastes like a penny.
Charlie waves goodbye and he claps for EVERYTHING. So darn cute.
When we put the Signing Time videos on for Charlie, he attempts to do the signs. I think he's brilliant.
Charlie CONSTANTLY has his pointer finger up. I remember that at about this age, Jack did that too. It's so cute.
Charlie started in on separation anxiety and stranger danger this month. I think a lot of it had to do with our cross country move. We had a difficult transition to living in Utah. We had to sleep train all over again because he was in an unfamiliar place. Then on top of all that, we all got a terrible stomach bug. It was no bueno, but we got through it and all is well now.
Bath time is Charlie's favorite! This kid is a water baby and he LOVES to splash!
Charlie can spot a ball from a mile away. He loves them. He also loves playing in the sandbox and Lolly and Pop's house and he enjoys a good swing.
Charlie is such a relaxed and calm baby, but he goes absolutely wild during diaper changes. I guess he's just at that age where they want to move around constantly, but I'm starting to feel like I have to put him in a wrestling hold just to keep him still long enough to clean him off. Silly boy.
When I sit down to nurse Charlie, he always puts his hand on either my cheek or over my eye as he is drifting off to sleep. He also likes to flick my eyebrow hairs...
Charlie has just noticed my hair this month and it seems like he is always trying to grab a handful of it.
Charlie can say: hi, boo, bubba, ball, and dada, and he babbles a lot.
When I pick Charlie up, he pats my shoulder. I love it so much.
Charlie is such a shy little guy. When someone talks to him, he gives a little smile and then either sticks his arm straight out in front of his face and hides his head, or buries his face in my shoulder. It's probably my favorite thing about Charlie.
The picture taking is getting more and more difficult every month. In addition to all of the wiggling, this month, Charlie also wanted to stick his tongue out the entire time. Love him so.
We love Charlie so much and we are so glad that he is such a good baby and that he is in our family. This has been a difficult and a fun month with him.
