Busker Fest

One of the perks of living down town, is that we get to participate in all of the fun events that go on in the city. It seriously seems like every other week there is something going on on our block. A few weeks ago, the city of Fort Wayne hosted Busker Fest, which is a festival that celebrates street performers. Once again, our streets were closed down so that the festivities could take place in the street.

This was a really fun festival, there were musicians, belly and break dancers, face painters, artists, flame jugglers, sword swallowers, comedians... the list goes on and on.

Early in the evening, we took Jack down and he enjoyed dancing in street to a Jimmy Buffet impersonator. Then, we loaded up in the car and drove to the Fort Wayne airport to pick up my Mom (she came for a visit because she had a few unexpected days off of work because the prison ran out of power).

Once we got Mom, she was nice enough to watch Jack while Gord and I went out on our first date in a LONG, LONG time. We had a wonderful meal at Biaggi's, then back to the festival.
